Hydration: One beer a week? I can do it
Since I’m officially back on the bike and training like a maniac again, my inner coach has instructed me to cut back on the beer. I’m only allowed one bottle a week until I drop two kilos and get back to my climbing weight. I’ve already selected which bottle I’ll be drinking.

Two bottles of a normal sized beer aren’t the issue, Bill, as that’s what, another 200 calories per week. It’s probably all the carbs you are eating at night in the mistaken idea that you need them. More protein, fewer carbs, and keep the carbs earlier in the day. Also, make the carbs less processed, sticking to oatmeal and such and try to eat them around the ride when you need them.
